Jodie Drew

Founding Principal, Rashid and Latifa School - Boys

Jodie Drew is the Founding Principal of the Boys’ Site at Rashid and Latifa School (RLS), where she leads with a deep commitment to academic excellence, wellbeing and whole-child development. With nearly two decades of educational experience; Jodie is widely recognised for her visionary approach, empathetic leadership and ability to transform school communities. Jodie began her career in Wales, progressing into school leadership roles and earning a national reputation for driving improvement and innovation. She contributed to curriculum reform with the Welsh Government, helping design the new Curriculum for Wales to reflect both academic rigour and character development. Her approach consistently prioritised equity, creativity and purpose. In the UAE, Jodie has served in executive roles across leading British-curriculum schools, where she led multi-campus strategies, expanded Early Years provision and oversaw operational transitions during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is known for her strategic clarity, staff empowerment and student-centred vision. At RLS, Jodie is proud to lead a pioneering boys’ school rooted in Emirati values, academic distinction and future readiness. She champions wellness, creativity and leadership as pillars of the boys’ learning experience; ensuring every student is equipped to lead a purposeful life and contribute to the UAE’s ambitious future. A passionate advocate for playful and inquiry-led education, Jodie creates joyful and rigorous learning environments where curiosity is celebrated and every child is seen, heard and inspired. Her leadership is moral, collaborative and community-focused; shaped by a strong sense of integrity and inclusion. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science (Hons), a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, a Master’s in Education and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). She also holds a Level 7 Coaching Award (ILM) and has completed Level 3 Inspector Training, deepening her expertise in leadership development and quality assurance.
